Why We Choose Bamboo
Fast growing eco-crop
Did you know that some species of bamboo can grow as much as 35 inches per day? Like any other type of grass, it grows rapidly, requires little maintenance and a lot less water to farm. Not only does it not require replanting, but it also doesn’t require tractors, fertilizers, or pesticides. These characteristics make bamboo an eco-friendly material.
Sustainable and Versatile
It is one of the most sustainable and versatile resource on the planet. Not only is it earth-friendly but an environmentally intelligent choice because bamboo captures CO2 and generates 35% more oxygen than trees.
After harvesting, bamboo is converted into fabric which is called rayon. Bamboo fibers are smooth and round which gives it an amazing texture. The micro gaps between the fibers give the fabric great ventilation and insulation.
Breathable Fabric
It is incredibly soft, hypoallergenic, and statistically more breathable than cotton. As a result, it can keep the wearer as much as 2 degrees cooler in the heat and warmer in colder weather. This makes it more suitable for everyone especially babies when considering heat reduction and sensitive skin.
While we know we can't be 100% sustainable now, we strive to minimize the negative impact on our environment as much as we can.
